Work
These are the studio’s own projects. All of them are open source under Apache 2.0, each with a site of its own and its code on GitHub. Most are early 0.x releases, and each README says what works today. Read the code before you hire us.
A native hybrid of key-value and SQL, from the sensor to the gateway. Both ends share the same records, byte for byte.
AltSql is one small engine and one set of records. On a device it keeps key-value and time-series data in flash; on the gateway it answers SQL over the same records, so nothing gets translated in between. The whole engine is one C99 file. So far it has run in simulation; real chips are next.
SQL, key-value, graph and vector in one native database, kept in a single SQLite file.
Four databases that cross at one record. Query it with SQL, fetch it by key, walk its links or search it by vector; it’s the same data in the same transaction, so the four can’t disagree. Embed it in Go, or run one small binary from any language.
A job queue in one file, with retries, delayed jobs and dead letters built in.
Ukue, a micro queue, keeps background jobs in a single SQLite file. There’s no server to run next to your app: embed it as a library, or start the one small binary when programs in other languages need the same queue.
Answers kept ready as data arrives. Counts, percentiles and summaries stay current in a SQLite file.
You write a short policy that names your event streams, the answers you want ready and how long each level of detail should live. Precomputing keeps those answers current as events arrive, and any SQLite tool can read them. It’s aimed at usage billing, logs and AI agents.
The operating system for your web traffic: a small Go kernel with sandboxed WebAssembly plugins on top.
The kernel does TLS, routing, static files, health checks, safe config changes and request tracing. Everything else is a plugin, loaded at run time and written in any language. For any request, explain says what will happen and why says what did.
The VPN, rebuilt as an operating system. Each program gets its own network path, policy and record.
Its kernel, vpnw, seals a program in and decides every connection it makes: direct, through a proxy or down a WireGuard tunnel, with a record of what happened. Everything else runs as WebAssembly plugins. Linux first, with macOS for the parts that don’t need Linux. No root needed.
Ready machines for coding agents. Describe a project’s setup once, and preconfig writes each agent platform’s setup file and tests it on a clean machine.
A team describes the machine once, in preconfig.yaml. preconfig writes the setup file each agent platform reads and proves it on a clean machine with the project’s own tests. When a setup fails, Preconfig Doctor reads the log, names the cause and, when the spec is at fault, writes the fix.
Free tools for the key-value stores you run: Redis, Valkey, DynamoDB and etcd. Nothing you paste leaves your browser.
Memory and config checks across 15 versions of Redis and Valkey, an ACL builder, a DynamoDB expression tester, an etcd snapshot viewer and more. Each tool is one dependency-free JavaScript file that runs in the browser, on the command line or inside your own code.
